Why did you personally get involved with this organization? What makes you passionate about this organization?
I got involved with Hawkeyes for Humanity because it is a great way to give back.
Natural disasters devastate the lives of thousands of people every year, and this
club has given me a way to do my part to help. Natural disasters are often
unforeseen and can leave families, all over the world, feeling alone and helpless.
Fundraising is my way of actively trying to help from hundreds of miles away and
to show those affected that we are here and that we care!
The main reason that we started this organization was to help people in need,
and I believe that is what makes me so passionate about it today. The concept of
paying it forward really resonates with me in my personal and professional life.
I personally got involved in this organization because my roommate, Nate, was
thinking about starting a student organization. I thought it was a great idea and
did my best to support the creation of the organization. I am passionate about
Hawkeyes for Humanity because I’ve been in the organization since its founding,
and watching it grow and helping others has been very fulfilling. The whole goal of
the organization is to help others in whatever ways possible and having us make
an impact on other people’s lives is what it’s all about.
